Lesson 8

Type of players

In Rummy there are 2 major types of players: Moderate and consider player and aggressive and mysterious player.

While player play in careful way, moderate and consider he will always try to meld his cards the minute he will have the chance to do it.

This player will be very cautious to be caught with all the cards in his hand, he will prefer to stay with fewer cards as possible. It will be very smart while playing in elimination tournaments.

While player plays aggressively and mysteriously, he will prefer not to expose his cards so fast and most of the time will try to make the ‘Hunt’ move (The player will meld all his cards at once in one move), or in some cases he will stay with 1 card only. Those moves just prove the mysterious of this player, thing that very hard for his opponents to read his moves and understand his situation during the game.

The history and the statics shown that the combination between those 2 types of players will create the ultimate perfect player that most of the time will win and be better from the rest of the players. This player that will learn to change his moves from time to time and change his strategy from time to time will be very hard for his opponents and for the long run he will always lead and bit his opponents.

Of course that with the time the strategy of this player will find out by the rest of the players as more as he plays with them. That’s why it’s important for him to change his strategy from time to time and fit it for every game, he’s the one that will lead for the long run.

That’s why we recommend you the players to try and be part of every one of those types, try to be moderate and considerable in some of the games, try to be aggressive and mysterious in some other part of the games. Change your strategy and your opponents will never read you properly. With the time you will be leader players and reach some nice profits.

So, Good Luck all.
