As you probably already know, this whole Rummy thing is a family of games that have different interpretations all over the world. I guess that what makes Rummy so special. It’s kind of like all those languages that have developed in various countries but many came from, for example, Latin. All those Europeans lingoes – Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and many others, all derived from a common basis.
Well, same thing goes for Rummy. It’s amazing to find out that Rummy is played in so many places across the globe, only with slight changes here and there, but they all maintain a common ground based on collecting the good cards and getting rid of the bad ones, eventually melding all the sets and runs you created.
There are a few games that hold independent existence and are not related to Rummy by the common player, but people that had made researches on social games have found most of them to be enrooted from the world of Rummy. In this post I am gonna give you some examples of very popular games that supposedly stand for themselves, but were actually developed from Rummy’s basics throughout the planet.
